Catharsis is carved into Lo Barnes' terrain. The Margate-based artist treads a restless path between intimate folk, Western melodrama, and 60s-inflected rock 'n' roll. Her alluring melodies and moody soundscapes captivate listeners to tender presence.

Her debut EP Never Hurt Again (2023), with co-production from Dan Taylor and recorded by Chris Ellul, both of The Heavy, earned a place on BBC Introducing's Best of 2023 list, establishing Barnes as a distinctive new voice in the UK's alternative rock landscape.

A captivating live performer, Barnes commands a pin-drop audience both solo and with her band. She has shared stages with artists including Jesse Jo Stark, The Wave Pictures and The Libertines, while building a reputation for intensely immersive live shows of her own.

HEAVEN, currently being released, is a collection of three EPs, journeying from expansive disillusionment, to raw feminine defiance, with the undiluted power of Barnes' voice carving through self-produced arrangements. The first single, Laughing In The Morning Sun, was released on 17th September 2026, with Part I : The Veil due for release on 10th December 2026.
